NBA 2K11 servers to remain active until April 2012

Despite previously announcing that the NBA 2K11 servers would be shutting down as early as November 16th, 2K Sports has now confirmed that they plan on continuing online services for NBA 2K11 through to April 2012.

The change of plans is not altogether surprising given the difficulties that several users have encountered with NBA 2K12′s online modes so far. To date, 2K Sports have released two titles updates for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of NBA 2K12 in an attempt to rectify the various issues with online play including disconnections, problems with win/loss tracking and long waiting times when trying to find an opponent.

REDitor II v3.1 Now Available

A new version (v3.1) of the outstanding REDitor II for NBA 2K12 is now available. For those who are unaware, REDitor II is the roster editor for the PC version of NBA 2K12, containing a host of essential features for modding the game. It also still supports NBA 2K10 (PC), NBA 2K11 (PC and Xbox 360) and MLB 2K11 (PC).

REDitor II is made by Vl@d Zola Jr. and can be found here in our Downloads section. The download includes the hot fix which adds support for assigning pshoes in NBA 2K12. Be sure to check out the release thread for additional release notes and support.

For those who are unaware, REDitor II is the roster editor for the PC version of NBA 2K12, containing a host of essential features for modding the game. REDitor II v3.6.1 Now Available

For those who are unaware, Vl@d Zola Jr. has released a new version (v3.6.1) of REDitor II, which is the roster editing tool for NBA 2K12 on PC and Xbox 360, as well as NBA 2K11 (PC and Xbox 360) and NBA 2K10 (PC). The latest release addresses a few bugs that were present in the previous version and adds support for Draft Class (FDC) files.

REDitor II v3.7 Released

Vl@d Zola Jr. has released v3.7 of REDitor II, the fantastic roster editing tool for NBA 2K12 (PC and Xbox 360), NBA 2K11 (PC and Xbox 360) and NBA 2K10. Changes, additions and fixes in the latest version include:

  • Added: Advanced Awards editing of NBA 2K12 files
  • Added: Players Shoe Brand Lock toggler is now editbale with NBA 2K12 Tables
  • Added: On-inbounds player behaviour is now editbale with NBA 2K12 Tables
  • Added: NBA 2K12 Team Stats are now editable (4 new fields on Teams tab + a completely new Team_Stats tab)
  • Added: Export and Import from (into) REDitor tabs into (from) CSV-files
  • Changed: Minor Improvements
  • Fixed: Bug, which corrupted CON-header of NBA 2K12 XBox 360 Draft Class files

NBA 2K11 Online Servers Shutting Down July 31st

Ronnie has informed the remaining NBA 2K11 community that the online servers will be shut down at the end of the month on July 31st.

As outlined in the NBA 2K11 manual, online multiplayer support for NBA 2K11 was scheduled to be turned off in November 2011, but as announced on 11/01/2011, 2K Sports decided to leave servers for NBA 2K11 on until April 2012. The servers have stayed on up through this date but on July 31st, 2012 at midnight EST, they will be discontinued.

Vl@d Zola Jr. has released v3.7.1 of REDitor II. For those who are unfamiliar with it, REDitor is the roster editing tool for NBA 2K12, supporting both the PC and Xbox 360 versions of the game. It also includes support for NBA 2K11 (PC and Xbox 360) and NBA 2K10 (PC). Changes in the latest version include:

  • Fixed: Bug, where changes applied to NBA 2K12 Team Stats didn’t save
  • Fixed: NBA 2K12 Awards Types values
  • Tutorials updated

Here’s a new file addition for NBA 2K11, a 2012/2013 offseason roster update for the Xbox 360 version of the game. Please note that you’ll need to use Modio and USB XTAF GUI to transfer the file to your console; several tutorials outlining the process can be found on YouTube. Although most files in our Downloads section are for PC games, we certainly welcome uploads for the console versions too, so feel free to share them if you’ve got them!
